The Fuwa are the mascots of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.The designs were created by Han Meilin,a famous Chinese artist.The designs were publicly announced by the National Society of Chinese Classic Literature Studies on 11 November 2005 at an event marking the 1000th day before the opening of the games.There are five fuwa:Beibei,Jingjing,Huanhuan,Yingying,and Nini.Together,the names form the sentence "Beijing huanying ni," which means "Beijing welcomes you".
福娃是2008年在北京举行的第29届奥运会的吉祥物,设计者是吴冠英、韩美林等人.於2005年11月11日、距离本届奥运会开幕恰好1000天时正式发布问世.福娃共有五个小夥伴,分别叫做：「福娃贝贝」、「福娃晶晶」、「福娃欢欢」、「福娃迎迎」、「福娃妮妮」,这五个名字连起来即谐音「北京欢迎你」.
