Since the Channel 4 series Jamie’s School Dinners and the launch of the Feed Me Better campaign in 2005, both the Government and the British public have come to understand that food plays a vital role in our children’s education. A lot has been achieved over the last few years, but there’s still much more to do to ensure that school food stays at the top of the political agenda.

Our typical school meals include rice, meat, vegetables and porridge. As you know, they may not taste good sometimes, but they’re good for our health in fact. Healthy food includes rice, noodles, dumplings, meat, fish, vegetables, fruits and so on. They’re necessary for one’s body. Don’t you hear this saying: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”? I think we should eat healthy food all the time. There’s some junk food which is very popular among teenagers, such as hamburgers, chips, chocolates and ice cream. Junk food has many disadvantages. For example, it’s bad for your health, also it makes us behave badly and put on weight. So to make us healthy, let’s make changes to the diet——less junk food, more healthy food!
