而我的问题句中是the first thing （shoppers may come to）is…，从结构上和上面很相似，那括号中的也必然是定语，既然是句子，那就是定语从句。
这点我当然是能够联想到，但问题是，the first thing在从句中充当什么成分呢？come to thing？？显然不能搭配吧，显然是come to （do）thing吧。但是从句中没有do，那么定语从句就不成立，因为the first thing在从句中找不到自己的位置，就必然不是先行词。
所以我才有了开头的问题，并且产生了下面的理解，shoppers may come to （where） is the fresh fruit and vegetables secton。即把这个当做了宾语从句来理解。当然正如harttr先生所说，to后边不跟副词，所以就本句而言，显然也不是宾语从句，只能是定语从句。所以又绕回来，the first thing在从句中作什么成分的问题了，难道是do可以省略？
