Good morning, ladies and gentlemen!
First of all, thank you for giving me the chance to stand here expressing myself. My topic today is “Olympic spirits in my heart”.
From Olympus to the Great Wall, from the myth of Greece to the symbol of dragon, from the Acropolis to the Forbidden City, the Olympic spirits have been spread all around the world. What are exactly the Olympic spirits?
In my heart, the spirits of Olympics are not only a seek for a faster, higher, and stronger achievement, but also a confidence to face challenge directly; a tolerance to varieties of ideas, customs, religions;a good wish for better communications, understanding, as well as peace.
I heard thunders of applauses rising when Liu Xiang broke the world’s record, when YaoMing entered NBA, when thousands of athletes committed to the games. It’s their confidence that inspires us and moves us deeply.
I saw tears of bitter and sweet mixing together, when we won the bid for 2008 Olympic Games after 10 years’ efforts. It’s the tolerance that China won the bid, and walk close to the other nations.

I feel a warm steam flow through my heart, your heart, his heart and her heart, when the torch is relayed internationally from one place to another.
And finally I realize that the Olympics is never a purely sports meeting, for us, she’s already spiritualized and will be playing in our heart forever.
Time after time, competitors changed, host cities changed, even some of the events changed, however, the spirits of Olympic has never changed.
