while 连接时间段 when 连接时间点 乘公车只是一个短暂性动作 则用when
when 与while 的区别
一.引导时间状语从句时,WHILE连接的是时间段,而WHEN连接的多是时间点
例如What does your father do while your mother is cooking?
What does your mother do when you come back?
二,WHILE可以连接两个并列的句子,而WHEN不可以
例如I was trying my best to finish my work while my sister was whtching TV
三,WHEN是特殊疑问词,对时间进行提问,WHILE不是.
例如,When were you bron?
while后面要用表示状态的词，be动词或者系动词，后者延续性动词的ing形式
when 此处表示条件， 不表示时间， while没有此用法
我想，while 有转折的意思，when 有递进的意思。。。
while在这里连接两个带有对比意义的句子，当你明明可以乘巴士来的时候，你却要搭的士来。
而选择when的话，只表示当......的时候，没有对比的意思。
“when”在这里对应的是“was”，因为 when 和 was（表示过去的时间） 都是表示时间的。可以这么理当时(when)你可以坐公交车的时候，怎么会打的呢？你当时（was）真是太疯狂了。
While表示两个事情同时发生，
I came to the office by bus while he took a taxi;
When表示在什么条件下，相当于suppose that:
此句话的意思是：你明明坐公共汽车来也可以，但是你却花更多钱打的，的确是有点疯狂
