What is this mod?
This mod began as my wanting on a whim to put Mona Sax from Rockstar's Max Payne 2 into San Andreas. It escalated from there and mutated into a project to completely replace CJ with Mona - complete with all clothing, hairstyle, and tattoo options. Ironically, Mona's Max Payne 2 outfits didn't make the cut due to varying reasons - the only way to recognize her is her face.
What is missing in the beta?
I haven't replaced CJ's voice yet - still need a voice actress as I am too self conscious to do it myself. I also haven't made a new American.gxt file - so the old names for haircuts and clothes will appear rather than the correct names (IE: Chongers instead of Capris). The rigging is servicable, but it has some issues. The alpha channels on some of the hairstyles need tweaking as well. I also haven't fully tested this mod - there are just too many clothing combinations.
How do I install it if I don't want to use SAMI or have a modified shopping.dat?
Put all the files in the playerIMG directory into your player.img file in the San Andreas models subfolder. Then replace clothes.dat in the San Andreas DATA subfolder with the clothes.dat in the data directory in the zip file. Finally, you have to open your shopping.dat file as well as the shopping.dat file in the mod's zip file. Replace the haircuts and clothing listings in your shopping.dat file with those in the mod's version. If your shopping.dat file is unmodified, just replace it with the one from the mod's zip file. (NOTE: IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY FOR THE MOD TO FUNCTION THAT THE CLOTHES.DAT FROM THIS ZIP FILE BE USED AS WELL AS THE NEW CLOTHING AND HAIRCUT DATA IN THE MOD'S SHOPPING.DAT FILE)
Is this mod compatible with other player.img mods?
To a degree, yes. Any clothing mod that meets the following criteria is compatible (this mod does not affect anything in GTA3.IMG, so naturally there will be no conflicts with non-clothing mods):
1: Must be only a TXD, - absolutely no DFFs
2: Must be a pair of shoes (using Bask1.dff ONLY), any necklace, any glasses or any watch.

Yes, I am a little crazy I suppose. I started this mod in the Fall of 2006, and its still not technically finished. First Beta released to playtester on 2/14/08. First public beta on May 18, 2008
