1 幽灵船
一天,厄尼上学晚了.他跑上学校山,钻过栅栏里的洞.他希望校长没有看见他.
“哇!”厄尼倒抽了一口气.
有一条幽灵船在操场上飘来飘去.它很像一条普通的船,但它是白而透明的.他知道这不可能是真的.
幽灵船被系在一个篮网球柱子上.一个奇怪的亮光从那里发出来,它上下摇晃着,好像在驾驭着看不见的大海.一只幽灵海鸥在它的周围飞行.
“喂,幽灵船!”厄尼勇敢地喊道.
一个幽灵的脑袋从一个窗子里探了出来.“是谁说的?”这个幽灵问.
“我说的!”厄尼说道.
“但是你应该看不见我呀!”幽灵倒抽了一口气.
然后幽灵又想了一想.
“你确定能看见我吗?”幽灵问道.
“很肯定.”厄尼说.
窗户砰地关上了.
“我和一个幽灵说话!”厄尼喊道.
看门人威金斯老师听见了厄尼喊叫.她跑了出来,到了操场.
“我和一个幽灵说-说-说话!”厄尼结结巴巴地说.
“嘘!别告诉任何人.”威金斯老师说.
“为什么?”厄尼问道.
“我不想要你让一般的小孩子们感到不安!”威金斯老师说道.
“但是这条幽灵船被停在操场上,”厄尼说,“但他们在休息的时候出来就会看见了.”
“不是所有人都能看见它.”威金斯老师说道.
“嗯,我能看见.”厄尼告诉他.
“那么那就是我们俩.”威金斯老师叹息道.
威金斯老师大步走到幽灵船跟前.
“喂!轮船!”威金斯老师喊道.
窗户啵地一声打开了,往外看的还是那个幽灵.
“啊!威金斯老师”幽灵有礼貌的说道.
“皮格莱格船长!”威金斯老师责备道,“你保证除了我以外没有一个人能看见你.但是一个四班的孩子已经看见了!不是吗,厄尼?”
“是的,”厄尼说,“我看到了.”
“嗯,这可能会发生的,你知道的,”船长说,听起来有些不安,“不很经常,但有时它会发生.”
“如果有人能看见你,那么你就不要在这里航行了.”威金斯老师鉴坚定地说道.
“我忍不住在这里航行.”船长告诉她.
“为什么?”厄尼问道.
“只有我在船上!”船长说道,“我不能独自驾驶船,所以我不得不随它顺风飘. 我只希望它多飘到这儿.那么我就可以寻找我的财宝了.”
船长接着说道：“我注定永远在海上航行直到我失去的财宝.我知道它就在这儿,因为这是我地图上所画的.”
“你最好这次找到它,否则!”威金斯老师警告道.
窗户啪地关上了.
“幽灵财宝!”厄尼说道,“等着,我把这件事告诉给四班!”
2.”我们看不见它!”
所有人不得不等到休息时间去看幽灵船.他们冲出了教室到了操场.
“就是那儿!”厄尼喊道,指着那个幽灵船.
所有人仔细地看了看.他们看到了垃圾箱和栅栏,但是他们看不见什么船.
“我们看不见它!”路易说道
“但是这儿有幽灵船!”厄尼说,看着它,并且与此同时走过它.幽灵船是透明且模糊的.
“这儿没有幽灵船!”路易说道.
幽灵海鸥飞了下来,落在路易的头上.
“一只幽灵海鸥刚刚落在了你的头上.”厄尼告诉路易.
“哦,不,没有!”路易说,他看不见它,或者感到它.
“哦,是,它有!”厄尼喊道.
“哦,不,没有!”其他所有人狂喊道.
他们嘲笑厄尼编造幽灵海鸥和船的故事.然后他们跑开玩去了.
四班里最小的最聪明的Jade走了过来.“那条幽灵船在这儿干什么?”她问厄尼.
“你也能看见它!”厄尼倒抽了一口气.
“我当然能看见它.”Jade说.

“怎么找?”厄尼问道.
“我爸爸有关于寻宝的书,”Jade说,“我们可以在他的书了看看然后找出来干什么.”
“寻幽灵财宝现在就开始!”厄尼喊道.
“当我们看过爸爸的书后再开始!”Jade说
上课铃响了.
“放学后!”Jade告诉他,“放学后,不要到处闲逛!”
3.寻宝
放学后他们去Jade的房子并且得到她爸爸关于寻宝的书.
“这是我们如何要做的!”Jade说着,给厄尼看某一页的书.
“但是那些我们什么也搞不到.”厄尼指着金属探测仪说道.
“我爸爸有,”Jade说,“当他在沙滩上寻找就硬币和东西时,他就用到他了.这就是他为什么拥有所有关于寻宝的书.”
他们跑回学校山上到了学校.厄尼背着一个铲子,Jade背着一个装有金属探测器的大袋子.
“皮格莱格船长!”厄尼喊道.
船长在甲板上.“又是你!”皮格莱格船长说道,“你还能看见我吗?”
“是的.”厄尼说道.
“我们都知道你直到找到你丢失的幽灵财宝才能停止航行.”Jade告诉船长
“我们想要帮助你找到它.”厄尼补充道.
“但是我们想先看看你的地图.”Jade说.
地图被撕得破破烂烂,有很多洞在里面.
“幽灵海鸥把它啄成这样的!”皮格莱格说.
“它写着：X在地图上标出了财宝,”Jade说,“但是我看不见任何X.”
“幽灵海鸥啄掉了我的X.我想不起来它在哪了,”皮格莱格船长叹口气说道,“我甚至找不到珍宝岛了……但我确定它以前就在这儿.”
“是的!”Jade答道,她咧开嘴笑道,“珍宝岛就在这儿,在我们站的地方!”
“你怎么知道的?”厄尼问道.
“看!”Jade说,她在船长的地图的背面画着.
“突起来的这块地方是学校山!”她告诉厄尼,“我们房子现在所在的地方过去是在底下,很多年以前.我爸爸告诉我的.”
“我们还是不知道去哪看!”厄尼说,“我们只能整天挖而找不到财宝.”
“我们会用我爸爸的金属探测仪,”Jade解释道,“当我们靠近财宝时它会发出‘砰’的声音.”
“如果金属探测仪能够在幽灵财宝起作用的话!”厄尼嘟囔道.
“嗯,它可能会起作用的,”Jade说,“至少我们可以尝试.”
他们寻找起了财宝.
但是他们没有找到……他们找了又找……找了又找……
……他们看了又看……看了又看……
然后金属探测仪发出来了“砰”“砰”“砰”
是财宝!
他们挖起了皮格莱格船长的装满了黄金的幽灵财宝箱.里面有幽灵黄金,所以它不和真正的黄金一样重.他们开始把它搬回到船上.
至少,那是他们所开始做的.但是当他们走回学校的时候,幽灵财宝箱开始消退.皮格莱格船长也消退了.
“再见,皮格莱格船长.”Jade小声说道.
“因为我们找到皮格莱格船长的财宝,所以幽灵船消退了.”第二天,厄尼告诉四班.
“没有幽灵船.”路易说.
“哦,是的,有的.”厄尼喊道.
“哦,不,没有.”其他所有人喊道.
在某个地方,在某个遥远的地方,一只幽灵海鸥交了起来.但是没有人听见,除了厄尼.Jade,和威金斯老师.
