1.In science an hypothesis is 'a tentative statement about the natural world leading to deductions that can be tested,' either by experimentation or by prediction and observation.Verified deductions strengthen the hypothesis, while incorrect deductions lead to rejection or modification of the hypothesis.
2.In the design of experiments and data analysis, control variables are those variables that are not changed throughout the trials in an experiment because the experimenter is not interested in the effect of that variable being changed for that particular experiment.
Say you are doing an experiment to see if sugar effects how a child behaves. You have two children (or groups of children).
Control - The control group would be the children who receive no sugar in their diet.
Variable - The variable in the experiment would be the children you feed candy or sugar to.
3.Scientist use the data from an experiment to evaluate the hypothesis and draw a valid conclusion.
4.Different design of experiment leads to different result. As a result of these considerations, experimental design in science like biology tends to focus on the elimination of extraneous effects.
5.Unicellular organisms are much smaller (with a few exceptions) and contain less organelles.Multicellular organisms are bigger and have more organelles.
The main similarities between the two are that both contain DNA and ribosomes.
More differences include that unicellular organisms lack a nucleus and their DNA is coiled, residing in the nucleoid region.Unicellular organisms are also much less complex and rarely produce sexually.Bateria for example normally undergo bianary fission, but can also go through conjunction.
6.For example:
Development:the process by which a multicellular organism is produced from a single cell.
Fertilization:the process by which an egg is made capable of generating offspring.
Metamorphosis:a process of developmental change whereby a larva reaches adulthood only after a drastic change in morphology; occurs in most amphibians and insects, for some insects, this change may include another stage (pupa) before the adult stage
