其实 interest 是可以数的名词,既可以 在 单数时用,也可以在 有需要时作为复数,举例：

2.My children have different interests and hobbies.(我的 孩子们有着不同的兴趣和爱好.)
但是,一般很少说 “with a great interest”,除非文字表达的时候能达到 以上所说的意思或者文法上的要求.如果是 “with great interest” 一般就是代表对某件事情感到有兴趣,比如说在 展览会人们对一个机械人产生了极大的兴趣、好奇：People looked at the robot with great interest.
