The current situation of energy consumption in China isn't quite optimistic with coal consumption taking up the majority of our country's energy consumption structure.According to some authorized statistics published by the government,in 2011 coal consumption took up 70% of all energy consumption in China,while the consumption of natural gas was only 4% and renewable energy 1%,ect.Coal---such kind of fossil fuel is exactly what takes up the majority of energy consumption in our country.So the direct consequece of such sort of energy consumption structure is the great amount of carbon dioxide emission which is the major cause of global warming.What's more,most of the fuels don't burn very well,leading to low burning efficiency.
In view of this situation,Chinese government really should do something to increase the energy efficiency.For example,adjusting and changing the energy consumption structure is the key thing the government should do.Only when the percent of coal is lowered down and the percent of clean energy like solar energy is increased can the energy efficiency be increased,as clean energy burns better than coal.Furthermore,the government should develop new technologies to increase energy burning efficiency.And popularizing the knowledge of energy efficiency is also an advisable measure.
