Frankly speaking,in contemporary China,volunteer is not quite prevailing or in a embarrased situation attributing to the misunderstanding among the crow.What's worse,the minority of people treat it as a useless and meaningless career in the world.In fact,there is of great essenciality to correct the wrong opinion in volunteer and advocate the volunteer career.As follows,I will list some advantages of volunteer.First of all,volunteer play quite vital a role in our sociaty.Taking Beijing Olympic Game for example,there is no doubt that volunteer is a bridge between Chinese and volunteer,they help to translate for native sellers,keep the activity and traffic in order and so on.Moreover,volunteer is the pioneer when faced with the catastrophe.In the wenchuan earthquake,indisputably,volunteer lend a hand to the victime in the first moment.From my own perspective,volunteer is the most sacred career in this world,we should feel pround of that we are volunteers.

　　Each nation has many good people who help to take care of others.① For example, some high school and college students in the United States often spend many hours as volunteers in hospitals, orphanages or homes for the aged. They read books to the people in these places, or they just visit them or listen to their problems. Other young volunteers go and work in the homes of people who are sick or old. They paint, clean up, or repair houses, do their shopping and mow their lawns.② For boys who no longer have fathers there is an organization called Big Brothers. College students and other men take these boys to basketball games or on fishing trips and help them to get to know things that boys usually learn from their fathers.
　　Some cities have a number of clubs where boys and girls can go to play games or learn crafts. Some of these clubs show movies or organize short trips to the mountains, the beaches, museums or other places of interest. Most of these clubs use a lot of high school and college students as volunteers because they are young enough to remember the problems of younger boys and girls.
　　Volunteers believe that some of the happiest people in the world are those who help to bring happiness to others.

故事发生在1935年6月。夹金山山峦起伏，白雪皑皑。狂风夹杂着大片的雪花翻卷咆哮，凛冽的空气中，雪山似乎也在颤栗。
前进的队伍有些迟缓了。寒冷、饥饿、稀薄的空气侵袭着这支坚强的队伍，已经有很多同志在这片让神灵都敬畏的土地上永远闭上了眼睛。
突然，风雪中传来一阵充满活力的歌声：夹金山高又高，坚持一下胜利了！翻过雪山是晴天，嘿！太阳暖和和，战士笑呵呵……
歌声穿透风雪，驱散了寒冷与疲惫，给前进中的队伍带来阵阵暖意。大家抬头望去，山坡上一个小小的红色的身影跳着、唱着，挥舞着手里的快板，快乐的身影像一团跳动的火焰。“我们的小太阳又升起来了！”战士们笑了。
这名唱歌的女战士是红军队伍里的小卫生员，谁也不知道她的名字。一路上，小姑娘把行进中的故事编成歌谣鼓舞着大家前进，成了大家的“开心果”。翻雪山时，小姑娘身体单薄，同行的大姐怕她冻坏，把身上穿的一件红毛衣送给了她。她高兴极了，穿着这件长过膝盖的大毛衣在队伍里跑前跑后，在山坡上唱着跳着，红艳艳的颜色在雪地里分外耀眼，大家就开玩笑地叫她“小太阳”。
队伍接近山顶了，空气越来越稀薄，连呼吸都困难。很多同志因为疲惫和饥饿坐在了雪地上，这一坐，便成了冰雪的雕像。红毛衣也抵挡不住寒冷的侵袭，“小太阳”的脚步也越来越迟缓。突然，她停了下来，路边坐着一个受伤的战士，把头埋进臂弯里像在打瞌睡。在这里，停顿就意味着死亡。“小太阳”拼命地摇着他，战士只是含糊不清地说：“冷，冷……”
队伍依然缓缓地前进着。有人突然发现，队伍里不见了那个快乐的红色身影。干部休养连的战士们到处寻找，在半山坡的雪地里，看到这个年少的卫生员静静地躺在山坡上，已经没有了生命的气息。她只穿着一件单薄的军衣，小小的脸上没有一丝血色。在担架上，战士们找到了那件红艳艳的大毛衣，它穿在一个受伤的战士身上。伤兵流着泪回忆说，困乏时坐在雪地里，只觉得有人在拼命地拉着他，对了，还听见了歌声，他说，很熟的歌：翻过雪山是晴天，嘿！太阳暖和和，战士笑呵呵……
所有人都沉默了。伤兵脱下红毛衣，郑重地铺在雪地上。它像女战士快乐的微笑，舒展在茫茫雪地中。仰首望去，峰顶已经微现阳光，太阳红彤彤，照在皑皑白雪之上，映出一道道金色的光芒。
穿过岁月的悠远，70年前，那许许多多美丽的壮烈的故事依然生动、依然鲜活。曾经有一个爱唱歌的小女孩，快乐地行走在这支波澜壮阔的队伍里，她唱过最响亮的歌谣，让疲惫的战士仰望天空，看到太阳；她跳过最动人的舞蹈，让受伤的老兵忘记伤痛，欣然而笑；她曾为一件普通的红毛衣欣喜不已、视若珍宝，在最危险的时候她又把自己最珍爱的东西，连同生的希望和力量，让给了自己的战友。
她还只是个孩子。那一年，她13岁。
